21+ Only As Vasir'li explores mature themes, I reserve the right to write only with those who are 21 or older. By choosing to write with me, you confirm that you meet this age requirement—no exceptions. I believe adult themes are best shared among adults.

rule 002.

consent is important Many of the themes I explore in my writing skirt the edges of the risqué, so I always encourage open communication. If at any moment something I write feels like too much, I ask that you let me know. Your comfort and consent are deeply important to me; I would never wish for anyone to write anything that makes them uneasy. The same standard applies to myself. If a theme arises that I am unwilling to pursue, I will politely ask to step back or adjust the scenario, trusting in your understanding.

ic=/=ooc As a role player, I firmly believe in maintaining a clear boundary between writer and character. My character’s actions are not a reflection of me, nor are mine a reflection of them. I am not my character, and my character is not me. All interactions in character (IC) remain strictly within the realm of fiction. While I do not engage in out-of-character (OOC) roleplay, I am always open to OOC conversation. Just let me know if you’re speaking IC or ((OOC)), so I can respond accordingly.

no hate This player believes in LGBTQIA+ rights, racial equality, religious freedom, and treating people with dignity and respect. If those values aren't something you can get behind, we're probably not a good fit. While it doesn't affect RP directly, I prefer to write with people whose out-of-character values generally align with my own. No hard feelings, just keep it moving.

wu/t friendly If you send me a tell and your character is not actually whispering to mine, I'll generally assume it's OOC. I'm always open to walk-up RP, but I prefer not to handle IC interactions through tells, especially from a distance. If your character is interested in interacting, don't be afraid to approach. He'll absolutely engage and approach others IC as well.

PERSONALITY This Keeper’s personality can be described simply as laconic, a brooding presence that teeters between dour indifference and something more odious in demeanor. Serious to a fault, he carries a near-constant, introverted disposition in the presence of strangers, ever leery and guarded of those who ask too much or attempt to get too close. Once a natural-born socialite capable of spinning conversation with a smile and a laugh, years of playing the hiding game have shaped him into something of a misanthrope, favoring solitude and silence over chatter and company.While not the most charismatic individual, he is known for several hedonistic tendencies, namely his philandering, alcoholism, and larceny. When prompted to speak, Vasir’li’s mannerisms can lean crass and sarcastic, his language often colorful and profane with little regard for sobriety or decorum. He is every bit a ‘sailor’ in casual company, lewd and overly facetious toward those who are easy to rile. Of course, this behavior is only a fraction of his more complicated makeup, the layers of his character revealing themselves only once a certain level of trust has been earned.

Vasir’li was born to a deeply traditional and well-established Keeper clan nestled within the far reaches of the Black Shroud. His mother, Vasir, was a studious and formidable leader whose focus remained fixed on raising her daughters to follow in her footsteps, while her sons received far less of her attention or expectation. Still, her desire to see them made useful led to the arrangement with his first mate, Lovete, joining the two clans through the birth of Tali'orei and Lovete’a (Gae’briel).Despite adhering to the expectations placed upon him, Vasir’li was considered the “black sheep” of his family, his disinterest in upholding tradition setting him apart early on. His self-serving nature and quiet yearning for something more than the life laid before him created a growing divide between himself and his life partner. With a natural wanderlust stirring beneath the surface, it did not take long for that pull to carry him beyond the borders of the Shroud, leaving behind the nomadic life he was meant to uphold.Vasir’li found his footing quickly within the criminal underworld, taking on odd jobs and various tasks while residing in Limsa Lominsa. During one such job, a Captain took interest in his skill and boldness, offering him what could only be called an opportunity of a lifetime. Join his crew, or sink to the bottom of the sea—a choice given after Vasir’li failed the task of stealing from the very man who now stood before him. Naturally, he accepted. Within a few short years, his role shifted from mere deck swabber to the Captain’s most trusted mate. When the Captain finally succumbed to his injuries following a failed siege, it was Vasir’li who stepped forward to take his place as the new Captain.

appearance Impossible to miss in a crowd, this ‘black cat’s’ most notable feature is his penchant for darker colors. Dull grays, midnight blues, leather, and weathered cotton leaving him steeped in shadowed hues. His gloves and boots are far from new, worn with age and marked by the traces of unspoken battles. Often called ‘hat’ for his love of them, he is rarely seen without one perched atop his head, decorative or plumed corsair styles with the brim worn low enough to conceal all but his lips.A mess of wavy, raven-night locks peppered with gray falls from his shoulders and trails down his back, reaching just shy of his waist. His tail follows suit, long and luxurious, adorned with various gold chains wrapped along its length. Large, fluffed ears bear a series of gold hoops and piercings while his fingers mirrors this with various gold rings of different shapes and sizes. Silver-light eyes, lined and smeared with kohl, complement the racial markings etched across his cheeks. His face is rarely neat, the shadow of stubble often lingering along his jaw. Some days he cleans it for the sake of presentation, but the Keeper is far more known for his rugged edge.While not immediately apparent, age has tempered this once young and aspiring Keeper into a rigid, colder corsair. Eyes framed with crow’s feet betray a more seasoned point in his life. A lifetime spent among seafarers lingers in every word he speaks.
